Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, subsection 39(2)

Public servants employed by the Ministry of Finance that are engaged in tax administration and enforcement may collect personal information from Transport Canada relating to vessels and aircraft.  The information is collected for use:

  1. in the administration and enforcement of an Act that imposes a tax, or
  2. in the development or evaluation of tax policy.

In addition to vessel-specific information, the following personal information is being collected for the above noted purposes:

Owner/Vendor Information

  • Owner Name (first, middle, last)
  • Secondary Owner Name, if applicable (first, middle, last)
  • Date of Birth
  • Enterprise name, if applicable
  • Address:

  • Telephone Number
  • Email address (if applicable)
