What we heard
The province should consider adopting ISO standards in their regulatory framework similar to countries such as Germany who has a well-diversified, prosperous auto sector and has proven to the world the benefit of adopting ISO standards in their regulations.
The hours of work Policy needs a serious update in the ESA (Employment Standards Act)
The Ontario government has announced it is moving to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Not all the regulations affected by this change have been revised and as a result there is a mix of labeling systems in use. This requires Ontario companies to do additional training to both systems.
