Protect Ontario Financing Program: Who Can Apply

If your business does not appear to be eligible for the program, you will be prompted to consider other services and supports.

Please note that the answers to the following questions do not determine whether you will be approved for funding. You will still need to follow the proper application steps and receive official approval.

1) Does your organization meet the following?

is an incorporated for-profit business (legal entity or limited partnership)
is registered to carry out business in Ontario
has at least $2 million in annual revenue
has at least 10 full-time employees in Ontario

Please note: not-for-profit organizations, associations, charities and start-ups are not eligible.

2) Does your business operate within (either direct exporter or supporting the supply-chain) the following sectors that are subject to s.232 tariffs: steel, aluminum, autos?

3) Does your business (or parent organization) have 3 years of operational history supported by 3 years of externally reviewed financial statements?

Applicants will be required to submit financial statements.

4) Is your business facing financial challenges due to s.232 U.S. tariffs? (for example, your organization will have difficulty meeting short term financial obligations such as payroll)?

Yes

5) Has your organization explored and exhausted or faced significant barriers in accessing federally offered financial support options to meet your working capital needs?

Yes

6) Is your organization looking for a minimum of $250,000 in liquidity funding to support working capital needs?

Yes
