Cette année marque le 60e anniversaire du financement des programmes des centres de vie active pour personnes âgées par l’Ontario. Connus à l’origine sous le nom de centres pour personnes âgées, ces programmes reflètent six décennies d’élargissement de l’accès aux services qui aident un plus grand nombre d’aînés à demeurer actifs, en santé et socialement connectés, ce qui améliore ultimement leur bien-être global.

Il y a plus de 400 programmes dans toute la province. Lorsque vous aurez repéré un programme d’un centre de vie active pour personnes âgées près de chez vous, téléphonez au centre ou consultez son site Web pour connaître d’autres détails sur les programmes offerts aux aînés.

De nombreux programmes offrent des activités en ligne et par téléphone afin de solliciter la participation des aînés dans leur collectivité et de réduire le sentiment d’isolement social.
