Order in Council 1251/2026

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas, by Order in Council numbered 1385/2025, Fion Anastassiades of Ottawa was appointed as a member and designated as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Educational Communications Authority for a period not exceeding three years, effective October 30, 2025;

And whereas, a vacancy will exist in the position of Chair of the Ontario Educational Communications Authority following the expiry of the term of the current Chair on August 28, 2026;

And whereas, one of the members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council may be designated as Chair of the Authority;

Now therefore, pursuant to subsection 2(2) and 2(5) of the Ontario Educational Communications Authority Act, as amended,

Fion Anastassiades of Ottawa

be re-appointed as a member and designated as the Chair of the Ontario Educational Communications Authority to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding five years, effective the later of August 29, 2026 and the date this Order in Council is made;

And further that Order in Council 1385/2025 is revoked on the date this Order in Council is effective.
