On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 1718/2019, dated November 28, 2019, the position of Community Opportunities Advocate, known as the Advocate for Community Opportunities (“the Advocate”), was established, and by Order in Council 909/2022, dated April 1, 2022, the position was extended, and by Order in Council 1431/2022, dated November 3, 2022, the position was further extended for a period ending no later than November 15, 2024;

And whereas the Government of Ontario wishes for the Advocate to continue to provide strategic advice and identify actions that may improve outcomes in marginalized communities;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative powers of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to appoint special advisors to serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

Effective the date this Order in Council is made, the term of the Advocate’s position is hereby extended for a period ending no later than November 15, 2026.
