
Order in Council 1462/2018
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:
whereas pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the office of the Legislative Reviewer of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“Office of the Legislative Reviewer”) was established by Order in Council O.C. 2428/2017 dated December 14, 2017 and terminates on December 31, 2018; and
whereas the Minister for Seniors and Accessibility has determined the Terms of Reference for the office of Legislative Reviewer dated December 14, 2017 and may amend them from time to time; and
whereas the Lieutenant Governor approved the remuneration of the Legislative Reviewer as provided in Order in Council O.C. 2453/2017 dated December 14, 2017; and
whereas the Legislative Reviewer has requested more time to fulfil the duties specified in section 41 of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
therefore, the Office of the Legislative Reviewer is continued for a period of one month beginning January 1, 2019 and ending on January 31, 2019.
Order in Council O.C. 2428/2017 is revoked as of January 1, 2019.
