Order in Council 1527/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority is a corporation without share capital continued under the name Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority in English and Office des télécommunications éducatives de langue française de l’Ontario in French (“the Authority”) under subsection 2(1) of the Ontario French- language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008;

And whereas pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, purchase, lease or otherwise acquire land or any interest in land;

And whereas the Board of Directors of the Authority has approved an extension to the term of the Lease (“the Lease”) with RA Investment 13 Holdings GP Inc. (“the Landlord”), for approximately 41,254 square feet of office space at Suite 600, 21 College Street, Toronto, ON M5G 2B3 (“the Premises”), for a term of three (3) years commencing on September 1, 2027, and expiring on August 31, 2030, at the monthly rental rates set out in the Agreement;

Now therefore, pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority be authorised:

1. To extend the Lease with the Landlord for 41,254 square feet of office space at the Premises for a period of three (3) years commencing on September 1, 2027, and expiring on August 31, 2030, at the following monthly rental rates:
   1. sixty two thousand seven hundred and forty dollars ($62,740), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with September 2027 and ending in August 2028;
   2. sixty four thousand four hundred and fifty nine dollars ($64,459), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with September 2028 and ending in August 2029; and
   3. sixty six thousand one hundred and seventy eight dollars ($66,178), plus applicable taxes on the first day of each month commencing with September 2029 and ending in August 2030.
2. to execute such documents as may be necessary for the purpose of entering into and implementing the extension to the Lease.
