Order in Council 1529/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Energy (“Minister”) supports the leadership and participation of First Nation and Métis communities in Ontario’s energy sector;

And whereas the Minister recognizes the growing need for capacity funding for Indigenous communities;

And whereas the Minister may, with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, amend under subsection 25.32(11) directions continued under subsections 25.32(9) and 25.32(10) of the Electricity Act, 1998;

Now therefore the Directive attached hereto is approved as of the date hereof.
