Order in Council 335/2026
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:
Whereas the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency is a corporation established by the Conservation Authorities Act, Section 35.1;
And whereas the Conservation Authorities Act, Section 35.6, authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to appoint not less than 5 and not more than 12 members who shall form the board of directors of the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency, one of whom shall be designated as the chair and one or two of whom shall be designated as the vice-chair;
And whereas subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c. 21, Schedule F, authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to determine the remuneration and expenses of a person who is appointed to an office.
Now therefore, remuneration shall be paid to each member appointed to the board of the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency during the term of their appointment, as follows:
- $350 per day if the member is the board chair,
- $250 per day if the member is the vice-chair,
- $200 per day in any other case.
And further, the chair, vice-chair, and each member appointed to the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency are entitled to be paid for travel and other necessary expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the board of directors of the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency in accordance with the policies and rates set out in the Directives and Guidelines of the Management Board of Cabinet.
And further, this Order in Council takes effect on the day that it is made.
