On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 58(2) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 and subsection 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, Debra Backstein of Toronto be appointed as part-time member and vice-chair of the Fire Safety Commission for a fixed term ending October 15, 2027, effective the date this Order in Council is made.

Further, whereas Debra Backstein was appointed as part-time member of the Fire Safety Commission for a fixed term of two years, effective September 26, 2024 by Order in Council O.C. 1222/2024;

Therefore, Order in Council O.C. 1222/2024 be revoked effective the date this Order in Council is made.
