Order in Council 463/2026

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas section 2.1 of the Transit-Oriented Communities Act, 2020 (“the Act”) provides that the Minister of Infrastructure (“the Minister”) may establish an advisory panel to be known as the Transit-Oriented Communities Advisory Panel (“the Advisory Panel”);

And whereas the Minister intends, in accordance with subsection 2.1 (2) of the Act, to appoint one or more persons as a member of the Advisory Panel and may appoint a Chair of the Advisory Panel from amongst them;

And whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine the remuneration and expenses of a person appointed to the Advisory Panel;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 2.1 (4) of the Act,

1. A person appointed as a member of the Advisory Panel shall be remunerated at the rate of $800 for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of the Advisory Panel, to a maximum of $187,200 annually.
2. A person appointed as the Chair of the Advisory Panel shall be remunerated at the rate of $1,000 for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of the Advisory Panel, as Chair, to a maximum of $234,000 annually.
3. Any person appointed as a member of the Advisory Panel shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging his or her duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
