On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas subsection 159(6) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 provides that with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (“Board”) may acquire real property that the Board considers necessary for its purposes and may dispose of it;

And whereas the Board considers it necessary for its purposes to acquire leasehold interests in Kingston and Guelph;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 159(6) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, the Board is approved to enter into the following new lease arrangements:

  1. A lease arrangement for 7,312 sq. ft. at 1475 John Counter Blvd, Suite 300, Kingston, ON, K7M 0E6, for a term of five years commencing November 1, 2021 and with a base rent of $113,339.10 per year over the five-year term.
  2. A lease arrangement for 7,886 sq. ft. at 1 Stone Road, Guelph, ON, N1G 4Y2, for a term of five years commencing January 1, 2022 and with a base rent of $127,832.06 per year over the five-year term.
