Commercial fishing close time variation order
Ontario Fishery Regulations apply across the province, but each zone has exceptions to meet its unique needs. Those exceptions are made with variation orders.

Under the Ontario Fishery Regulations, 2007
Pursuant to the authority vested in me under paragraph 43(m) of the Fisheries Act R.S., c.F-14 and Subsection 13(1) of the Ontario Fishery Regulations, 2007, I hereby authorize and declare the following:
- That Commercial Fishing Close Time Variation Order (CF-2007) signed by Minister Cansfield on November 5, 2007 is revoked and replaced by this Commercial Fishing Close Time Variation Order (CF-2008-1).
- That the close times for commercial fishing and commercial bait fishing as set out in Schedules 7 and 8 to the Ontario Fishery Regulations, 2007 are hereby varied as set out in Schedules A and B to this Commercial Fishing Close Time Variation Order.
- That if there is a conflict between this Commercial Fishing Close Time Variation Order and a close time for a fish sanctuary, the close time for the fish sanctuary prevails.
- That this Commercial Fishing Close Time Variation Order comes into effect immediately.
