The Ministry of Education provides information about Grants for Student Needs (GSN) funding to school boards through memoranda to the sector.

Grants for Student Needs projections for the 2020-21 school year

The funding projections have been prepared by the Ministry of Education and are based on enrolment and other data provided by school boards.

These guidelines have been developed to assist school boards in their allocation of funds received as part of the targeted student supports (TSS) envelope within the Learning Opportunities Grant (LOG) in the Grants for Student Needs (GSN).

The following guidelines have been developed to assist school boards in their allocation of funds received as part of the Experiential Learning Allocation with the Learning Opportunities Grant (LOG) portion of the Grants for Student Needs (GSN).
List of schools eligible for Rural and Northern Education Fund allocation, revised September 2020
Find a list of schools eligible for funding through the Rural and Northern Education Fund allocation. The list comprises schools in which at least half of the students are from rural communities, with modifications made by board of trustees’ motion.
