Exercise and Falls Prevention Programs help seniors stay healthy, active, and mobile.

If you are 65 years old and older, you can join Exercise and Falls Prevention classes offered free of charge in your community.

Exercise classes focus on helping seniors stay active and improve and maintain balance, strength and mobility.

Falls Prevention classes are taught by a physiotherapist or other health professional, and provide information on preventing falls in seniors.


May vary by location:

  • exercise classes focus on keeping active and improving strength, balance and mobility
  • classes focused on creating safe environments for seniors at home

When to use this option

If you’re a senior 65 years old and older:

  • at risk of falls
  • and want to keep mobile, active and healthy


You don’t need a referral for this service.
