Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund

The Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) provides funding to help small, rural and northern communities renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure.

In 2022, the government invested an additional $1 billion for OCIF over five years to support more local infrastructure projects in small, rural and northern communities.

Formula-based funding

Using a fair and transparent formula that recognizes that communities have different infrastructure needs and economic conditions, Ontario will provide $400 million to 423 communities across the province in 2025.
