About the program
The Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program provides funding for core infrastructure projects, such as roads and water systems, to support growing and developing communities. The program is currently comprised of 4 funding streams.
Housing-Enabling Core Servicing Stream
The Housing-Enabling Core Servicing Stream will help municipalities build, maintain and repair roads, bridges and culverts.
Health and Safety Water Stream
The Health and Safety Water Stream will help municipalities and First Nations build, rehabilitate and expand aging water, flood and shoreline erosion infrastructure to ensure communities have safe, reliable water services and are protected during extreme weather events.
Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund
The Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund will help municipalities repair, rehabilitate and expand critical drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
Agriculture and Irrigation Stream
The Agriculture and Irrigation Stream will invest in irrigation and wastewater infrastructure to support farms, greenhouses and agricultural businesses in the Municipality of Leamington and Niagara Region.
