Overview

As part of Ontario’s action plan to end gender-based violence, we are investing $98 million from 2024-25 to 2026-27 in 85 community-based projects across the province. These projects will focus on:

  • building safer communities
  • stopping gender-based violence before it happens
  • helping survivors to recover and rebuild their lives

We held a public call for proposals, which is now closed. The selected projects help prevent violence and address the needs of local communities and populations in four key areas:

  1. education and awareness
  2. early intervention and prevention
  3. community planning and service integration
  4. economic security and financial independence
