The People’s Health Care Act, 2019

We, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, name,

June 6, 2019 as the day on which the following provisions of the The People’s Health Care Act, 2019, c. 5, come into force:

  1. Schedule 1, preamble, s. 1-37, 39-48 (the Connecting Care Act, 2019).
  2. Schedule 3, s. 2 (2), (3), (5), (7), (10), (12), (14), (16), (18), (20), (22) (which amend the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, 2010).
  3. Schedule 3, s. 8 (1) (which amends the Health Facilities Special Orders Act).
  4. Schedule 3, s. 10 (2), (4), (6), (9), (12), (14), (16), (18), (20), (22), (24)-(26), (30), (31), (34), (36)-(38) (which amend the Home Care and Community Services Act, 1994).
  5. Schedule 3, s. 11 (2), with respect to subsections 9 (3) to (7) of the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006.
  6. Schedule 3, s. 11 (3), para. 1 (which revokes O. Reg. 417/06 (Committees of the Board of Directors of a Local Health Integration Network), made under the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006).
  7. Schedule 3, s. 12 (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (13), (15), (17), (19), (21), (23), (25), (27), (29), (31), (33), (35), (37), (39), (41), (43) (which amend the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007).
  8. Schedule 3, s. 15 (2) (which amends the Pay Equity Act).
  9. Schedule 3, s. 17 (2), (3), (5), (7) (which amend the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004).
  10. Schedule 3, s. 22 (2), (3) (which amend the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017).
  11. Schedule 3, s. 24 (which amends the Tobacco Damages and Health Care Costs Recovery Act, 2009).
