1. Field of play description/requirements

  1. Competition Ring:
    1. All competitions on rings must be a minimum of 5 meters square padded mats.
    2. There must be a 1 metre matted safety zone around the competition ring.
    3. All competitions on rings and safety zones must be nonslip padded mats (minimum of 2 centimetre (cm) thickness).
    4. There must be a minimum of 1.5 metre space and a barrier beyond the ring/judges’ tables.

2. Field of play variations

  1. Point Fighting is always held on a tatami mat.
