Applicants should note that consideration of applications for Private Bills that are received after the first day of September in any calendar year may be postponed until the first regular Session in the next following calendar year.

Applications to Provincial Parliament - Provincial
Notice Is Hereby Given that on behalf of the Board of Trustees of The Macdonald Stewart Community Art Centre, the council of the City of Guelph, the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph, The Corporation of the County of Wellington and the Trustees of the Upper Grand District School Board an application will be made to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario for an Act respecting The Macdonald Stewart Community Art Centre (the “Centre”) that (i) removes the Corporation of the County of Wellington as a Sponsoring Body, (ii) allows for the removal and addition of Sponsoring bodies in the future by way of by law of the Board of Trustees, (iii) changes the name of the MacDonald Stewart Art Centre to the Art Gallery of Guelph, (iv) modernizes the verbiage in the Centre’s constating documents, namely the The Macdonald Stewart Community Art Centre Act, 1978, in order to make the Act relevant and comprehensible to the current sponsoring bodies and members and (v) repeals the Macdonald Stewart Community Art Centre Act, 1978,
The application will be considered by the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills. Any person who has an interest in the application and who wishes to make submissions, for or against the application, to the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills should notify, in writing, the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto, Ontario, M7A 1A2.
