Order in Council
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council, orders that:
O.C. 1676/2016
pursuant to subsections 2 (2), 5 (1) and 8 (1) of the Executive Council Act, and despite any provision of a statute or Order in Council,
- The Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services shall exercise the powers and perform the duties, functions and responsibilities that have previously been assigned and transferred to the President of the Treasury Board in respect of the Public Safety Radio Network and related projects under Order in Council O.C. 218/2015 dated February 18, 2015, as amended, and such powers, duties, functions and responsibilities are assigned and transferred to the Minister accordingly;
- The Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services shall share the powers, duties, functions and responsibilities of the President of the Treasury Board in respect of the Ministry of Government Services Act insofar as they may be necessary or advisable for the purpose of exercising the powers and performing the duties, functions and responsibilities in respect of the Public Safety Radio Network and related projects;
- The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services shall carry out the functions, responsibilities and programs that have previously been assigned to or undertaken by the Treasury Board Secretariat in respect of the Public Safety Radio Network and related projects, and such functions, responsibilities and programs are assigned and transferred to the Ministry accordingly;
- Order in Council O.C. 218/2015 dated February 18, 2015 and published in the Ontario Gazette on March 7, 2015, as amended, and Order in Council O.C. 497/2004 dated March 10, 2004 and published in the Ontario Gazette on March 27, 2004, as amended, are hereby further amended and shall be interpreted accordingly.
