How to write a strong nomination

Review the nomination categories (see below) carefully to ensure that the work of the person or team you nominate is a good fit for the category you have selected.

Strong nominations can be up to 300 words. They should include clear and brief reasons proving why they deserve recognition. Use this opportunity to provide evidence highlighting the impact and accomplishments of the person or team you nominate.

Personal information is being collected by the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security for the purpose of reviewing nominations, determining the award recipients, and promoting and distributing the awards. We may use the nominator’s contact information to clarify answers or ask for further information.

The information provided will be used to contact nominees and nominators once awards have been determined. We may also share the name of the nominee with their institution. The Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security will also contact winners to request their permission before using their name or other information in public announcements.
