Order in Council 1273/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1217/2022, dated September 8, 2022, Michael Doucet was appointed as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board for a period not to exceed three years effective from September 8, 2022;

And whereas the Ottawa Police Services Board was continued as a police service board under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 on April 1, 2024,

And whereas Michael Doucet continued in office as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board under section 31 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019,

And whereas on August 23, 2024, Michael Doucet has, in writing, resigned his appointment;

Therefore, pursuant to section 27 of the Police Services Act and section 31 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019, Order in Council numbered O.C. 1217/2022 dated September 8, 2022, appointing Michael Doucet as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board, is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
