Order in Council 1333/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services intends to appoint a supervisor under subsections 44 (1) and (3) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 to operate and manage the affairs and activities of The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society (“Supervisor”),

And whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council wishes to provide for the Supervisor’s remuneration as of the date upon which the Minister’s appointment of the Supervisor takes effect,

Therefore, pursuant to subsections 44 (1) and (3) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017,

1. The Supervisor shall be paid remuneration at the rate of $700 per day, up to a maximum of 250 days, such that the maximum payable shall not exceed $175,000 per year, effective the date upon which the Minister’s appointment of the Supervisor takes effect.
2. The Supervisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses that are incurred while carrying out the duties of that position in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
