Order in Council 1414/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority is a corporation without share capital continued under the name Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority in English and Office des télécommunications éducatives de langue française de l’Ontario in French (“the Authority”) under subsection 2(1) of the Ontario French- language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008;

And whereas pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, purchase, lease or otherwise acquire land or any interest in land;

And whereas the Board of Directors of the Authority has approved a Space Use Agreement (‘the Agreement’) to lease from, Collège Boréal d’Arts Appliqués et de Technologie, (“the Landlord”), for approximately 405 square feet of office space at 21 Lasalle Boulevard, Room 2030, Sudbury, ON P3A 6B1 for a term of two (2) years commencing on November 1, 2024, and expiring on October 31, 2026, at the monthly rental rates set out in the Agreement;

Now therefore pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority be authorised:

1. to enter into the Agreement with the Landlord for 405 square feet of office space at the premises for a period of two (2) years commencing on November 1, 2024, and terminating October 31, 2026, at the following monthly rental rates:
   1. six hundred and four dollars and thirteen cents ($604.13), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with November of 2024 and ending in October of 2025; and,
   2. six hundred and thirty-four dollars and thirty-four cents ($634.34), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with November 2025 and ending in October 2026.
2. to execute such documents as may be necessary for the purpose of entering into the Agreement.
