Order in Council 1562/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

1. the portion of highway in the Town of Whitby (Geographic Township of Whitby), Regional Municipality of Durham, under the jurisdiction and control of the Ministry of Transportation, being part of the north half of Lot 25 Concession 5 and part of the Road Allowance between Lots 24 and 25 Concession 5, shown as Part 1 on Reference Plan 40R-31677 (MTO Plan P-1771-0110) deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Land Titles Division of Durham be closed pursuant to Subsection 29(2) of the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.50, as amended; and
2. the King’s Highway assumed by the Minister of Highways for Ontario, under authority of subsection 64(1) of R.S.O. 1950, Chapter 166, and by virtue of an Order in Council dated October 26^th, 1926, registered in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of the County of Ontario as Plan 190 (MTO Plan A-26-40), be amended so as to cease to apply to the portion of highway described above.
