Order in Council 1605/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Short-Term Advisory Body on Student Achievement and Assessment (the “Advisory Body”) was established by Order in Council made pursuant to clause 10(a) of the Education Act;

Therefore, pursuant to clause 10(a) of the Education Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006:

1. The member of the Advisory Body designated as Chair shall be remunerated at the rate of:
   1. $1,500 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for more than 3 hours for that particular day, subject to (c);
   2. $750 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for 3 hours or less for that particular day, subject to (c); and
   3. The sum of the amounts paid under (a) and (b) shall not exceed $262,500 for the term of the appointment.
2. The other member of the Advisory Body shall be remunerated at the rate of:
   1. $1,000 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for more than 3 hours for that particular day, subject to (c);
   2. $500 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for 3 hours or less for that particular day, subject to (c); and
   3. The sum of the amounts paid under (a) and (b) shall not exceed $175,000 for the term of the appointment.
3. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the members of the Advisory Body, including the Chair, shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
