Order in Council 227/2026

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council, the Government of Ontario established the Building Code Short- Term Advisory Body;

And whereas that Order in Council provides that members shall be paid such remuneration and be reimbursed for such expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve His Majesty’s Government in Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Chair’s remuneration

1. The chair of the Building Code Short-Term Advisory Body shall be remunerated at a rate of $700 per day, up to a maximum of $53,200 for the term of the appointment.

Other members’ remuneration

2. Each of the other appointed members shall be remunerated at a rate of $625 per day, up to a maximum of $39,375 per member for the term of the appointment.

Expenses

3. In addition to the remuneration set out above, members, including the chair, shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
