Order in Council 556/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas part-time members are appointed to the board of directors of iGaming Ontario pursuant to subsection 8(2)(a) of the iGaming Ontario Act, 2024;

And whereas a part-time chair of the board of directors is designated, and a part-time vice-chair may be designated, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Act;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 8(4) of the Act, remuneration shall be set in accordance with the following table:

Further, in the event that any part-time appointees are cross appointed to more than one government agency, the following restrictions apply:

1. appointees who hold a full-time appointment are entitled to the remuneration associated with their full-time appointment only;
2. appointees who hold more than one part-time appointment shall be paid a maximum of one per diem per day at the highest applicable per diem rate.

And further, the members, chair and vice-chairs shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of iGaming Ontario in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet, all of which is effective the date that subsection 8(4) of Schedule 9 of the Building Ontario For You Act (Budget Measures), 2024 comes into force.
