On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas eight positions of Special Advisor, Agent-General, accountable to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, were established or continued by Order in Council 1603/2024 (the “Order”);

And whereas it is considered desirable to amend the Order;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario, clause d of section 1 (Special Advisors – Establishment of Positions) of the Order is hereby deleted and replaced with the following:

  1. A Special Advisor, Agent-General (Bangkok, Thailand) position is hereby established for a period not exceeding three years effective the later of May 15, 2025 and the date of the first appointment to this position by the Lieutenant Governor in Council;
  2. Up to four (4) additional Special Advisor, Agent-General positions are established for a period each not exceeding three years from the date of each first appointment to these positions by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
