Order in Council 714/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council established the Special Advisor on the Establishment of a Centralized Resource Entity on Intellectual Property on by Order in Council made under section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act;

Therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006:

1. The Special Advisor on the Establishment of a Centralized Resource Entity on Intellectual Property (the “Special Advisor”) shall be remunerated at the rate of $1350.00 per diem that he or she is engaged in Special Advisor duties, provided that the total remuneration shall not exceed $170,000.00.
2. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in his or her duties as Special Advisor in accordance with the Travel, Meal, and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.
