On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Ontario Civilian Police Commission was continued pursuant to subsection 21 (1) of the Police Services Act;

And whereas the Ontario Civilian Police Commission is further continued until the day it is dissolved by regulation pursuant to subsection 216 (5) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019;

And whereas subsection 8 (1) of Ontario Regulation 125/24 under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 provides that section 21 of the Police Services Act continues to apply to the Ontario Civilian Police Commission;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 21 (2) of the Police Services Act and subsections 16 (2) and 16 (4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, the following Orders in Council be revoked on the day the Ontario Civilian Police Commission is dissolved by regulation:

  • O.C. 953/2024 reappointing Caroline Fletcher-Dagenais as part-time member and associate chair
  • O.C. 244/2024 appointing Colin Osterberg as part-time member and vice-chair
  • O.C. 1044/2023 reappointing Emily Morton as part-time member and vice-chair
  • O.C. 296/2023 reappointing Laura Hodgson as part-time member and vice-chair
  • O.C. 288/2024 appointing Nicole Gajraj as part-time member
  • O.C. 1560/2023 reappointing Louise Charette as a part-time member
  • O.C. 954/2024 reappointing Stephanie Zwicker Slavens as a part-time member

And further, Order in Council 1139/2022, appointing Sean Weir as a member of the Ontario Civilian Police Commission is amended to delete “subsection 21(2) of the Police Services Act,” and “the Ontario Civilian Police Commission,”.
