Crisis Team Program

The Crisis Team program supports a coordinated, community-based response to suicide and family violence in remote northern First Nations communities.

Services may include:

  • suicide prevention and intervention
  • referrals to counselling and treatment programs
  • crisis intervention
  • peer support or certified counselling
  • coordination of transportation
  • training activities for crisis team and local community members to address suicide and family violence

Indigenous mental health and addiction treatment and healing centres

If you are a First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit person, you can go to an Indigenous treatment and healing centre to get culturally safe residential and non-residential (day program) mental health and addictions treatment services.

Services use a combination of Indigenous healing and clinical approaches to improve your health and wellness and the overall health and wellness of families and communities.
