Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021

We, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, name,

  1. June 1, 2021 as the day on which the following provisions of the Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021, c. 4, come into force:
    1. Schedule 6, s. 1-29 (the Ontario Land Tribunal Act, 2021).
    2. Schedule 6, s. 30-38, 39 (2)-(4), (6)-(12), (17), 41-43, 44 (1), (3), (4), 45, 47-58, 60-62, 63 (1),(2), 64-73, 74 (1), (2) except para. 1-5 and 7, (4)-(15), 75-99 (which amend various Acts).
    3. Schedule 6, s. 40 (1) (which repeals the Consolidated Hearings Act).
    4. Schedule 6, s. 40 (2) (which revokes the following regulations, made under the Consolidated Hearings Act):
      1. Reg. 171 (Aggregate Resources Act).
      2. Reg. 172 (Conservation Authorities Act).
      3. Reg. 173 (Hearings).
      4. Reg. 174 (Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act).
      5. O. Reg. 784/91 (Subsections 34 (3) and (4) of the Regional Municipality of Halton Act).
      6. O. Reg. 552/94 (Regional Municipality of Durham Act).
    5. Schedule 6, s. 46 (which repeals the Environmental Review Tribunal Act, 2000).
    6. Schedule 6, s. 59 (1) (which repeals the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Act, 2017).
    7. Schedule 6, s. 59 (2) (which revokes O. Reg. 303/19 (Transition for Planning Act Appeals) made under the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Act, 2017).
    8. Schedule 6, s. 63 (3) (which revokes O. Reg. 571/00 (Assignment of Powers and Duties of Minister) and O. Reg. 12/18 (Transition — Establishment of Mining and Lands Tribunal) made under the Ministry of Natural Resources Act).

  2. July 1, 2021 as the day on which the following provisions of the Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021, c. 4, which amend the Ontario Heritage Act, come into force:
