Learn about supports you can get while you are pregnant, after your baby is born, and as your child grows.
Overview
If you are 25 years old or younger and are pregnant or parenting children from newborn to school age, Young Parent Services (YPS) can help you with:
- parenting
- social and emotional wellbeing
- economic stability
- education
- staying healthy
You do not need a referral to access Young Parent Services.
You can continue to receive services until you are 29 years old.
Services and supports
YPS programs are designed to help you and your child stay healthy, learn and grow.
All programs and services are free, confidential and voluntary.
They can help you:
- have a healthy pregnancy and birth
- bond with your baby
- support your child’s growth and development
- get counselling to help with personal challenges
- take care of yourself and your family
- finish high school and pursue further education or job training
- connect with other services in your community
