Black Bay Fisheries Management Plan survey

The Ministry of Natural Resources – Upper Great Lakes Management Unit (UGLMU) has drafted a proposed fisheries management plan for Black Bay on Lake Superior. The purpose of the fisheries management plan is to guide the responsible management of fisheries resources within Black Bay, in Lake Superior. The plan contains long-term goals and objectives and supportive, species-specific, management actions that seek to improve the status of the Black Bay fish community.

The ministry is reaching out to the public for broader consultation to receive input on the plan. This questionnaire and the online consultation will assist the ministry in collecting valuable information on the public’s perception of the proposed regulatory changes and future angling behaviour on Black Bay.
