1. Weigh-ins

  1. Requirements for weigh-ins:
    1. Sanctioned provincial events — weigh-ins are done on the day of event, up to an hour before division starts, in the uniform they are competing in.
    2. Gi competition — contestants must wear an approved Newaza gi with the appropriate rank belt. Gis are checked by weigh-in personnel.
    3. No-Gi competition — contestants must wear an approved rash guard and shorts. Competition attire is checked by weigh-in personnel.
  2. Weigh-ins and weigh-in attire:
    1. Contestants will be weighed wearing their competition attire or mandatory article of clothing covering their genitalia.
    2. Contestants will not be allowed to change out of their weigh-in attire into their normal attire in the weigh-in area. Contestants should be directed to a private area away from the weigh-in area.
  3. Mandatory equipment:
    1. An official will inspect the equipment of all contestants prior to competition to ensure that the contestants equipment meets minimum standards and is in good repair.
