Resource guide
This resource guide has been designed to help schools and school boards:
- implement the School Food and Beverage Policy
- understand the nutrition standards set out in the policy
- understand how the nutrition standards apply to school venues, programs, and events where food and beverages are sold
- conduct a needs assessment
- develop a plan to successfully implement the policy
Elementary teacher resource guide
The purpose of this resource is to assist elementary teachers in teaching healthy eating by:
- providing an overview of the requirements of the School Food and Beverage Policy
- making connections between the requirements of the School Food and Beverage Policy and the information taught through the elementary curriculum
- identifying the roles and responsibilities of teachers
