1. Weigh-ins

  1. Official weigh-in protocol
    1. The Chief Official oversees all aspects of the weigh-in process, with the Event Coordinator offering assistance upon request. Responsibilities of the Event Coordinator include selecting an appropriate venue for weigh-ins/medicals and ensuring a reliable scale is provided. During the weigh-in proceedings, parents/guardians may accompany junior/intermediate athletes. Contestants will be weighed wearing their competition attire or mandatory article of clothing covering male/female genitalia.
    2. Contestants will not be allowed to change out of their weigh-in attire into their normal attire in the weigh-in area. Contestants should be directed to a private area away from the weigh-in area.
    3. Male athletes are to wear only undergarments during weigh-ins, while female athletes should wear undergarments with a t-shirt or sports top.
    4. The official weigh-in occurs either on the day of the competition or the day before.
    5. For single-bout competitions the day of weigh-ins, weigh-ins take place no more than 3 hours before the start of the event, ensuring a fair timeframe for preparation. Weigh-ins must be completed at least 60 minutes before commencement.
    6. Once closed by the Chief Official, no further weigh-ins are allowed.
    7. In tournament-style events, additional time may be allocated for weigh-ins due to more participants.
    8. All athletes must adhere to the official weigh-in schedule; no exceptions are permitted.
