Background
With the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Ministry of Health (ministry) ceased mailing paper versions of the Outside Use report as they were available in electronic format via the Medical Claims Electronic Data Transfer (MCEDT). Effective immediately, the ministry has ceased production of these paper reports and will continue to provide electronic versions through MCEDT.
Locating electronic versions
The electronic version of your outside use report can be found by signing into your MCEDT account, accessing the MCEDT download section and searching for the “EC Outside Use Report”. This report is delivered in Extensible Markup Language (XML) format and is best viewed in Microsoft Excel or a similar spreadsheet application. Some billing software may also allow you to download and view this report. Questions about viewing the outside use report using your billing software should be directed to your software vendor.
