Review of progress towards the protection and recovery of Ontario’s species at risk
We publish progress reports to show how we’re working to protect and recover Ontario’s species at risk. Read the reports below.
Reviewing progress
The Government of Ontario prepares a recovery strategy for each species that is listed as endangered or threatened. We then publish a statement summarizing our intended actions and priorities in response to the recovery strategy. We then review and report on the progress we’ve made no later than the time specified in the response statement, or not later than five years after the response statement is published.
In these reports, you’ll see how we and our partners are helping to protect and recover species at risk, including:
- new legislation, policies and procedures
- specific projects that support recovery
- a summary of progress and actions towards meeting our recovery goal
