Average processing times are noted below. If your application is taking longer than the estimated processing time, there is no need to contact the program. We will contact you if more information is required.

Expression of Interest (EOI) Assessment:
Each year, the federal government, through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) allocates a certain number of nominations to the Ontario government (OINP).
- Ontario’s allocation is 9,750 nominations
- as of July 11, 2022, 4,496 nominations have been issued
Note: When an applicant is nominated for permanent residence by the OINP, they must then apply to IRCC. IRCC makes the final decision on who gets permanent residence.
