To access SADIE, Ontario prescribers (physicians and nurse practitioners) require:

  • an OHIP billing number, and
  • a ‘solo provider’ OPS BPS Secure account

Prescribers who are registering for OPS BPS Secure for the first time to access SADIE must provide two unique identifiers to complete the registration process.

I have an OHIP billing number and require ‘unique identifiers’ to register for an OPS BPS Secure account

Ontario physicians who bill the Ministry directly receive a letter from the Ministry containing their OHIP billing number and two unique identifiers. If you cannot locate this letter to find your unique identifiers, or you are a nurse practitioner who did not receive unique identifiers with your OHIP billing number, please follow the steps below. A new letter will be sent containing the necessary information to complete your OPS BPS Secure registration.

I do not have an OHIP billing number

Physicians working in other payment models that do not bill the Ministry directly (such as hospitals), and nurse practitioners, may not have a billing number. See the steps below to request a billing number and receive the letter with your unique identifiers.

For both situations above

  • If you have provided your email address on the form, your package will be emailed using the Ontario Citizen Direct Secure Email.
  • If you have not provided an email address on the form, your package will be mailed.
  • Processing time is within 15 business days.

Once you have received your unique identifiers, you can Register for an OPS BPS Secure account.
