The Ministry of Health and the Ontario Medical Association have been working together to implement physician compensation increases in accordance with the 2024 Physician Services Agreement (PSA).

The Agreement provides for a 9.95% across the board increase over and above the 2.8% across-the-board compensation increase already paid on physician payments for the period April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

As outlined in INFOBulletin 250501, an interim compensation increase payment for the period of April 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024 (the period) was processed and paid on the May 2025 Remittance Advice (RA).

This interim compensation increase payment inadvertently included a duplicate 9.95% increase to the Cumulative Preventive Care Management Bonus (Preventive Care). This 9.95% increase was already applied to Preventive Care payments as part of the temporary increases applied in January 2025 as outlined in INFOBulletin 241203.

The 9.95% overpayment included in the compensation increase will be adjusted on the July 2025 RA.  The adjustment will appear on the RA under accounting adjustment Year 1 (2024-2025) Compensation Increase.
