E-filing changes: My Ontario integration
Effective November 12, 2023, we have changed the way you access the OINP e-Filing portal. If you have an existing application or expression of interest with the OINP, you will need to migrate your ONe-key account to a My Ontario account starting November 12, 2023.

Scheduled maintenance
Please be advised that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) e-Filing system will undergo scheduled system maintenance and testing from Saturday, November 11 at 12:00am (EST) to Sunday, November 12 at 8:00 am (EST).
During this period, no registrations or applications will be accepted. Clients should not access the system during this time period, and submissions will be withdrawn by the OINP.
Any client whose application deadline is affected by the system maintenance is asked to contact the OINP by email at ontarionominee@ontario.ca.

E-filing changes: My Ontario integration
Effective November 12, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program will be changing the way applicants and representatives access the OINP e-filing portal.
If you have any existing applications or expressions of interest with the OINP, you will need to migrate your ONe Key account to a My Ontario account starting November 12, 2023.
There is no action required at this time. Instructions for how to migrate existing accounts will be posted on our website at a later date.

Invitations to apply to the Entrepreneur Stream
On September 25, 2023, we issued 10 invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Stream. Expressions of interest scored by September 20, 2023 were eligible for consideration for this round.
You received an invitation to apply if your expression of interest score between 136 and 163.
If you received an invitation to apply, you don’t need to contact the program. You will receive two emails containing login information and instructions for submitting an application.
If your expression of interest was eligible but you did not receive an invitation to apply this round, it scored below 136. Your expression of interest is still eligible to receive an invitation to apply for future rounds up to 12 months from the date you submitted it.

Fraudulent calls
Some members of the public have received repeat fraudulent calls from an OINP phone number (416-327-0374) requesting they update their temporary resident documents or other personal immigration information. These calls are not being made by OINP staff. This may be a case of Caller ID spoofing which is used by an individual to disguise their phone number to appear as someone else.
The OINP will never contact a client by phone to either:
- collect funds
- inquire about your immigration status
- update your personal information
Never give out personal information in response to an unexpected call, such as:
- account numbers
- social insurance numbers (SIN)
- mother’s maiden name
- passwords
- other identifying information
If you have never applied to the OINP, we can confirm this call is not from the program. If you have applied and have concerns about the legitimacy of a call from the program, you should:
- Ask for the name of the agent calling.
- Email the OINP at ontarionominee@ontario.ca to confirm whether the call was genuine.
If you receive a telephone call from an OINP phone number demanding payment or the sharing of personal information, you should:
- Hang up immediately.
- Contact your local police.
- Notify the OINP.

Fraudulent calls
Some members of the public have received repeat fraudulent calls from an OINP phone number (416-327-0374) requesting they update their temporary resident documents or other personal immigration information. These calls are not being made by OINP staff. This may be a case of Caller ID spoofing which is used by an individual to disguise their phone number to appear as someone else.
The OINP will never contact a client by phone to either:
- collect funds
- inquire about your immigration status
- update your personal information
Never give out personal information in response to an unexpected call, such as:
- account numbers
- social insurance numbers (SIN)
- mother’s maiden name
- passwords
- other identifying information
If you have never applied to the OINP, we can confirm this call is not from the program. If you have applied and have concerns about the legitimacy of a call from the program, you should:
- Ask for the name of the agent calling.
- Email the OINP at ontarionominee@ontario.ca to confirm whether the call was genuine.
If you receive a telephone call from an OINP phone number demanding payment or the sharing of personal information, you should:
- Hang up immediately.
- Contact your local police.
- Notify the OINP.

Entrepreneur stream: invitations to apply issued
On July 28, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 11 invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Stream. Expressions of interest scored by July 6, 2023 were eligible for consideration for this round.
Invitations to apply were issued for expressions of interest that received a score between 134 and 151.
If you received an invitation to apply, you do not need to contact the program. You will receive two emails containing login information and instructions for submitting an application.
If you received a notice that your expression of interest was eligible to receive an invitation to apply but did not receive an invitation to apply this round, the expression of interest scored below 134. Publishing orders for contravention of the Ontario Immigration Act by individuals, employers and representatives
On March 31, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has updated and published the names of individuals, employers and representatives who have had an administrative monetary penalty or banning order imposed against them for contravening the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015.
When applying to the OINP, individuals, employers and representatives must provide information that is:
- accurate
- correct
- not misleading
Providing inaccurate, incorrect or misleading information may result in penalties.
Publishing contraventions of the Act is an important measure to protect the public and further strengthen the integrity of the program.

Demand for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) continues to be strong with the OINP issuing its largest number of nominations in its history in 2022.
In 2022, the province’s nomination allocation from the federal government was 9,750 nominations. The OINP met its full 2022 nomination allocation in December.

The OINP continues its commitment to address labour market needs for skilled trades. In 2022, the OINP issued the highest number nominations to skilled trades workers in its history. Approximately 40% of all nominations were to individuals with work experience or a job offer in a skilled trade occupation, including:
- machinists and machining and tooling inspectors
- welders and related machine operators
- telecommunications installation and repair workers
- construction millwrights and industrial mechanics
- telecommunications line and cable workers
- carpenters
In 2022, the OINP saw a high number of nominations in technology-related occupations. Approximately 25% of all nominations were to individuals citing work experience or a job offer in a high-tech occupation, including:
- software engineers and designers
- computer programmers and interactive media developers
- database analysts and data administrators
- computer and information systems managers
- web designers and developers
The OINP also nominated health workers to address labour shortages in health care. The program nominated over 150 health care workers in 2022, including approximately 75 nurses and personal support workers.
The program also surpassed its 5% target for francophone immigration, issuing 6.6% or 652 nominations to individuals with high French language proficiency. Most francophone applicants received nominations under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream and the Human Capital Priorities stream.
In 2022, the program issued three nominations under its Entrepreneur Stream. By the end of the year, 17 other applicants were in the stream’s compliance monitoring process. We anticipate that these 17 applicants will invest over $10,248,746 million dollars and hire 67 Ontarians as a result of establishing their businesses in the province. An additional 151 applications are in the stream’s processing stage. As of December 2022, five entrepreneurs have been nominated and are operating their business in Ontario.
OINP nominees in 2022 came from over 120 different countries with the highest number of nominations made to applicants from India, China and Nigeria.

In 2022, the OINP nominated individuals with job offers from over 1,300 employers across every industry in Ontario. The top industries supported by the OINP in 2022 were manufacturing, construction, and professional, scientific and technical services sectors.
While the program’s aim is to be responsive to employer needs and to be available year-round, the OINP continues to experience substantial demand for its streams in 2022, far surpassing its annual nomination allocation.

On January 27, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 10 invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Stream. Expressions of interest scored by January 20, 2023 were eligible for consideration for this round.
Invitations to apply were issued for expressions of interest that received a score of between 137 and 162.
If you received an invitation to apply, you do not need to contact the program. You will receive two emails containing login information and instructions for submitting an application.
If you received a notice that your expression of interest was eligible to receive an invitation to apply but did not receive an invitation to apply this round, the expression of interest scored below 137. An expression of interest remains eligible to receive an invitation to apply for 12 months from the date it was submitted to the OINP.
