Background

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is continuing to expand our digital approval services, including:

  • aggregates resources
  • petroleum resources
  • forestry
  • fish and wildlife
  • lands

To help make our approval services more convenient, accessible and easier to use, we want to hear from anyone who requests natural resource permits, licences or authorizations from us. Our goal is to bring all our natural resource and forestry approvals online by 2024.

We summarized responses from user research into a report called the Service Modernization User Research Report. If you would like to get a copy of this report, email us at MBIO@ontario.ca.

This initiative is funded through the Ontario Onwards Acceleration Fund. The Ontario Government is modernizing its services and reducing burdens, making it easier to do business in the province.

How to participate

We are looking for volunteers to participate in one-hour interviews to give us more detailed information about your experiences with:

  • applying for and obtaining licences
  • permits and authorizations

To sign-up for an interview, complete the survey linked at the beginning of this page. At the end of the survey, you will be asked to provide your name and email address so we can contact you to set up an interview.

Interview participants will be offered a $60 gift card for their time.
