New direct deposit payment option
The Ministry of Health now offers direct deposit, also known as Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), for the Northern Health Travel Grant (NHTG) Program. This payment option supports the Ontario government’s efforts to improve service delivery and make programs more convenient and easier to access.
Direct deposit is:
- faster and secure
- convenient and reliable
- an environmentally friendlier way of doing business
Direct deposit is optional, not mandatory. Cheque payments will remain available to NHTG recipients.
NHTG application form changes
A new section has been added to the NHTG application form for “Payment Preference”. This section provides applicants the option to choose direct deposit or remain with mailed cheque payment. Detailed instructions are provided on the form as well as on the NHTG web page for applicants who wish to receive direct deposit.
