Northern Physician Retention Initiative (NPRI)
The 2020-21 application form for the Northern Physician Retention Initiative is currently available on the ministry webpage.
Again this year, payments will be processed through the OHIP claims payment system and deposited in the bank account associated with your OHIP solo billing number and will appear in the “Accounting Adjustments” section of your OHIP Remittance Advice. Deadline for submitting your application
The deadline for submitting your application for the Northern Physician Retention Initiative is March 31, 2021. Applications received or postdated after March 31, 2021 will not be processed.
Temporary suspension of mailed and couriered applications
In March 2020, the ministry released the following INFOBulletin 11233 advising you of changes being made to support COVID-19 containment efforts by temporarily suspending mailed/couriered applications for identified programs. Only applications that are sent by email or by fax to: (705) 564-7493 will be accepted. Applications that include electronic signatures (example: scanned original, electronic device applications, or digital) will be accepted in lieu of original, signed documents.
